Thousands of Dominican march for the family values

This Sunday the march “A step for my family” takes place, United by Altagracia, sponsored by the Catholic Church.
Around 10:00AM a large crowd of people began their walk on Máximo Gómez avenue, ending at Eugenio María de Hostos park, to take a step for family and values.
Some participants said the march is carried out in the family month and that they walk for the country, their projects and other purposes.
“We are praying for gender ideology to be a thing of the past; we advocate for public policies in favor of the family so that they can live in peace,” said leaders of the activity.
Víctor Méndez, belonging to the “Emaus hombres” congregation, assured that the march has been taking place for more than 10 years and the only time it was not held was due to the pandemic.
“It is a walk in favor of life and the family, we want to make respect and family unity feel as a church,” said Méndez.
Likewise, Raúl Rodríguez, one of those in charge of caring for access to the activity, expressed that they are serving God and that “it is not a sacrifice.”
The activity, for the moment, had the participation of artists and Catholic groups such as Proyecto 67, Noel Reyes and the Ministry of Faith. Enrique Féliz, Ambioris Padilla, among others, also appeared.
“We feel honored and privileged to participate in this activity,” said Féliz.
