Public Health reports five deaths and 598 new cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Public Health of the Dominican Republic (MSP) reported five deaths, of which three occurred in the last 24 hours, for a total of 3,397 deaths.
4,861 samples were processed, of which 3,977 correspond to PCR tests, while about 884 are antigenic tests.
There are 598 new cases of patients with the virus, corresponding to epidemiological bulletin #390.
The daily positivity stands at 15.14% and the fatality rate at 1.31%.
Regarding the total of active cases, 38,232 remain.
There are currently 504 hospitalized patients, occupying 21% of the 2,435 destined for COVID-19.
In Intensive Care Units, there are 148 patients, for 30% of the 486 beds that the system has.
While 98 affected have ventilators, equivalent to 25% of the 387 in the country.
