United States Embassy enables its immigrant visa unit on a limited basis

The United States embassy announced that its immigrant visa unit will be operating again, albeit in a limited way, operating through previously established appointments.
“In the immigrant visa unit we have resumed our operations on a limited basis … all appointments will be scheduled through the email you provided to the Visa Unit or the NVC”, read part of the information published by the entity.
According to the statement, the cases that will be given priority will be appointments for children adopted by US citizens; for the spouse, child and parents of citizens, as well as the fiancées and fiancées of a US national.
Also in this group are immigrant visa applicants, who requested an interview between March 16, 2020 and April 30, 2020, and who were canceled due to the closure of visa services operations.
They also clarified that if the immigrant visa petition is in the National Visa Center (NVC), your application must be sent along with the corresponding documentation, directly to said institution for it to be considered, through its web portal.
