Dominican Congress approves two air agreements with China and Uruguay
The Dominican Chamber of Deputies ratified two air service agreements with the People’s Republic of China and with Uruguay.
The resolutions approving the agreements had been approved by the Senate, so they will return to the Executive Branch.
On the one hand, there is the agreement signed between the country and China, which was signed in Beijing on November 2nd, 2018.
The purpose of this agreement is to “establish civil air transport services between the two countries, recognizing the importance of air transport as a means of creating and promoting friendship, understanding and cooperation between the two peoples, facilitating the expansion of international air transport opportunities”.
While the agreement signed with Uruguay was signed on November 12, 2018 in Santo Domingo.
The air services agreement with the South American country approves the rights to fly over the other party’s territory, make stops for non-commercial purposes, provide regular and non-scheduled services, and other aspects.
