Fernández claims his party has the muscles to lead the Dominican Republic
The president of the Fuerza del Pueblo party, Leonel Fernandez, said this Sunday in Santiago to those who have tried to minimize him politically, that his party already has the muscles and strength to lead the Dominican Republic, if it wins the next presidential elections of the year 2024.
He spoke at a massive event held at the Gran Arena del Cibao, with which at the national level, the Fuerza del Pueblo party closed its activities this year.
“For those who have tried unsuccessfully to minimize the strength of our political organization, those who have tried to reduce our participation in the national political scene, today we give you a forceful response, today the strength of the people exhibits muscles, strength and power to lead the Republic Dominican Republic along paths of progress,” he said.
During the event, attended by an average of 10,000 citizens, hundreds of people who joined the party (FP) were sworn in, as well as leaders of different political parties, including the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).
“What we are contemplating here today is a demonstration of a force that has historically acted in the Dominican Republic and that today makes common cause with the force of the people for the conquest of power in the year 2024 for the benefit of the Dominican people,” he added. Fernandez.
Among the new FP sworn in, it was reported that the councilor of the municipal district of Santiago Oeste, Gabino Julián Díaz, is found. In addition, they include the former vice mayor of San José de Las Matas (Sajoma), Grecia Gorys, and the former mayor of Hato del Yaque, José Rafael Payams.
Other new members of the Fuerza del Pueblo are: the former councilor of the Santiago municipality, Carmen González, and the president of the Movimiento de Corazón with Luis, Wilton Fermín.
Likewise, the leader of the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), from the Los Salados area, Roque Jacinto García; the retired police colonel, Mélido Antonio Tejada Polanco, the former lieutenant of the Dominican Air Force, Roberto Zapata, as well as José Manuel de Jesús, Willy Torres and Alberto Corniel.
The nursing professional, María del Carmen Tatis; the president of the Intermediate Committee of the (PLD) in the Nibaje sector, Jaimy Flete, and Domingo Sosa, also joined the ranks of the FP.
