Dominican government hardens measures and issues a new curfew schedule
The Dominican Republic government issued Decree No. 349-21, which modifies 346-21, in order to modify the curfew and the other social distancing measures established within the framework of the state of emergency declared to combat COVID-19.
It also has a special vaccination day from next Thursday until Sunday in Great Santo Domingo and the province of San Cristóbal.
Article 3 of this decree states that “all the measures provided hereinafter in this decree will enter into force as of Wednesday, June 2 and until Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at which time the corresponding authorities will review such measures”.
Also, Decree 349-21 establishes the curfew from Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In the morning, in the following districts: National District, in the provinces of Azua, Bahoruco, Barahona, Dajabón, Elías Piña, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Mirabal and Independencia.
Similarly, in the provinces of La Romana, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monsignor Nouel, Monte Cristi, Monte Plata, Pedernales, Peravia, San Cristóbal, San José de Ocoa, San Juan, San Pedro de Macorís and Sánchez Ramírez province.
