Las Américas airport restores operations after weather conditions improved
Dominican Airports Siglo XXI (Aerodom) reported that after the temporary closure of air operations at the José Francisco Peña Gómez International Airport of the Americas, operations have been reestablished.
The announcement of the stoppage of operations was made before the passage of Storm Fred through the country.
“After improving the weather conditions, the operations of the International Airport of Las Américas, José Francisco Peña Gómez #SDQ have been reopened. #StormFred”, they wrote on their Twitter account.
Earlier, Aerodom reported that due to the strong winds and rains that affected the southern part of the Dominican Republic due to storm Fred, the operations of the International Airports of the Americas and La Isabela, Dr. Joaquín Balaguer were closed.
