Elon Musk considers the border fence in the DR as “interesting”
Businessman Elon Musk considered the border fence project being built by the Dominican Republic as “interesting”, to which the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, reacted by inviting the magnate to visit the country to explore its technological opportunities.
The CEO of Tesla and owner of the social network X talked about the construction of the border fence on his account.
Following Elon’s post, Dominican President Luis Abinader invited Musk to travel to the Dominican Republic and explore technological and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
“You are right, @elonmusk. Our smart perimeter fence initiative between the Dominican Republic and Haiti is, in fact, an interesting project that is being implemented right now, helping to keep our country safe,” Abinader said in a message in which he tagged Musk’s account.
Abinader indicated that the technological and manufacturing capabilities in the free zones would be even more fascinating for the visionary businessman.
“I think you will find our technological manufacturing capabilities in the free zones even more fascinating. We have a highly skilled workforce and strong infrastructure ready to support advanced manufacturing,” the president said.
Abinader concluded by extending the invitation: “I invite you to visit us in the Dominican Republic whenever you want so you can see for yourself and explore potential opportunities.”
The Dominican Presidency reported that this invitation is part of the government’s efforts to position the Dominican Republic as an attractive destination for innovation and high-tech manufacturing in the region.
