Executive Power decrees new curfew schedule for Santo Domingo
The Executive Power issued a new decree that establishes a new curfew schedule for the Santo Domingo province and the National District, to counter the spread of COVID-19.
The new curfew is valid for two weeks, announced the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, during a Council of Ministers that he held.
The restriction schedule begins at 8:00 pm until 5:00 in the morning, with a three-hour grace period to be able to transit, and begins on May 27th.
“In Greater Santo Domingo we are going to limit confinement for two weeks from 8:00 at night to 5:00 in the morning with three hours of grace”, detailed the president before a question from the press.
He specified that the hours of free transit are exclusively so that people can travel home after completing their activities.
Abinader also spoke of the restrictions on the consumption of alcoholic beverages and the limitations that will be in public places, in such a way that crowds are avoided to reduce the spread of the disease.
