Punta Cana Airport completes the vaccination of all its staff
The Punta Cana International Airport has vaccinated 100% of all its staff and airport community, managing to provide doses to 3,000 members who work in its facilities.
“At the Punta Cana International Airport, the health and safety of our airport community and visitors is always a priority”, said Frank Elías Rainieri, general director of the terminal.
The journey was supported by the national vaccination program “Vacúnate RD”, developed by the Ministry of Public Health.
In addition, more than 58,000 people have been vaccinated at the vaccination stations located in Terminal “B” of the airport provided by Grupo Puntacana, in an effort to support the work carried out by the Dominican Government since the beginning of the vaccination days on March 8th.
“We remain committed to the community and the Ministry of Public Health of the Dominican Republic in order to continue successfully developing the National Vaccination Plan in the Verón-Punta Cana Municipal Tourist District,” added Elías Rainieri.
The first phase of vaccination began with the first dose to those over 60 years of age, educators, and medical personnel in the area, who met the requirement of being Dominican citizens and/or residents in the country.
The vaccination days are still open to all Dominican citizens and/or residents with an ID in the country over 18 years of age, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:30 am till noon.
