Marileidy Paulino wins silver medal at the World Championships
Dominican Marileidy Paulino won the silver medal by finishing second in the final race of the 400 meter dash at the Oregon 2022 world championships in athletics.
Paulino had a time of 49.60 and was behind Bahamian Shauna e Miller-Uibo, who He achieved a time of 49.11 and took with him the gold medal.
The Barbadian Sada Williams took the bronze after reaching a record of 49.75. The Dominican Fiordaliza Coffil also participated in the final, who came in sixth place by placing a 50.57 seconds in her career record.
The Dominican Republic has already become champion in the 4×400 mixed relay modality, setting a time of 3:09.82; which marked a new “world leadership”.
