Celebrities: Miss Universe crown was robbed from the Dominican Republic

The election of Miss United States in the 71st edition of Miss Universe brought discontent among Internet users, the Dominican people and celebrities, who understood that the crown should go to the Dominican Republic, represented by Andreina Martínez.

Likewise, Santiago Matías, popularly known as “Alofoke,” performed a live broadcast on his Instagram account where he expressed: “We were shamelessly stripped of the Miss Universe crown. Andreina had confidence, temper, all the responses were extraordinary, the wardrobe, the catwalk, everything”.
He added: “congratulations and respect to the other misses who participated, but ours is the queen. The most beautiful woman on the planet is the one from the Dominican Republic”.
The communicator Zoila Luna thanked the Dominican participant through an emotional post on Instagram in which she said: “Thank you, Andreina. I last saw a competition as masterful as yours a long time ago. Intelligent, sober, safe, clean, serene, elegant, firm, confident. I congratulate you. We felt that this was your year and that, your crown.
In addition, each publication about the contest and Andreina on social networks was full of people supporting her and disdaining the competition’s decision.

Former Miss Universe Amelia Vega expressed her pride with the participation of Andreina Martínez as representative of the Dominican Republic in the seventy-first edition of this beauty pageant held last Saturday in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.
Amelia published a story on her Instagram account following up on the contest. After the judges’ decision placed Andreina as the second semifinalist, the Dominican model expressed her admiration for the young woman.
