Daily COVID-19 positivity remains low in Dominican Republic

The daily positivity of coronavirus remains down in the Dominican Republic, reaching 9.69%, as reported by the Ministry of Public Health.

The entity also reported 364 new cases of the disease in the last 24 hours.

According to official data, the positivity in the last four weeks has been 10.67%.

In its bulletin number 372, which indicates that 5,821 samples were processed, the health authorities expressed today that in the last 24 hours three deaths have been reported, but that none occurred during that period.

So far the covid-19 has caused the death of 3,298 people and 251,332 infected, managing to recover so far 210,396.

According to Public Health, a total of one million 294 thousand 575 tests have been processed to determine whether or not somebody has the virus.

The percentage of those who died from hypertension is 30.14% and from diabetes 18.86%.

Only 27% of beds in intensive care units are currently occupied.
