Mexican businessmen interested in the Pedernales project
The executive director of the Airport Department, (DA), Víctor Pichardo received a visit from a group of Mexican businessmen, from the airport sector, interested in knowing in depth the Pedernales Tourism Development Project and the investment opportunities it offers, which includes the construction of an international airport.
Pichardo offered the delegation, headed by Manuel Gutiérrez Sola, commercial director of Aeropuertos del Sureste (ASUR), the operating company of the Cancun airport, Mexico, technical details on the progress in the process of determining the land where the airport will be built. international and the type of infrastructure to be built.
“We appreciate your initiative in knowing the dimensions of this project, in which there is a lot of will on the part of our president Luis Abinader and the entire sector to develop it”, said Víctor Pichardo to the commission also made up of executives Sergio Borda and Arturo Bañuelos.
On his side, Gutiérrez Sola expressed that they have a special interest in the province of Pedernales and the projects for tourism development that can be carried out in the area.
These businessmen were part of the first delegation of investors, which toured together with the heads of the Airport Department (DA) and the General Directorate of Public-Private Alliance (DGAPP), the province of Pedernales, within the framework of the tourism development project.
The objective was to present the wide attractiveness of the area, the investment capacity; a descent that included an overflight over the area of Manuel Goya, where the construction of the airport is planned.
The Mexican delegation was composed of entrepreneurs from the energy sector, real estate leaders, hotel operators, and representatives from shopping centers, hotels, and group accommodations, as well as architectural design for luxury resorts.
