Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso: "We Continue Improving Dominican Republic's Medicine"

Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso, President of the Dominican Health Tourism Association, considers that the event hosted by Johns Hopkins Medicine is beneficial to the Dominican Republic’s medicine.

On a written statement sent to DoHealthWell®, Cambiaso emphasized the importance of the experiences and technologies from this traditional medical institution in the United States:

“We live in a global environment, and it is of great importance to the Dominican Republic the sharing of knowledge, transference of technology, and regular updating.”

On the evening of April 5th, Dr. Ali Bydon, co-Director of Neurosurgery Medical Student Education and professor of Neurosurgery; and Dr. Anthony Nicholas Kalloo, M.D., M.B.B.S., shared the latest innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical conditions.

In that order, a press release published by Johns Hopkins Medicine emphasized that their mission is to improve the health of the community and the world by establishing a standard of excellence in medical education, research, and clinical care.

Dr. Cambiaso also added the impact of having a much closer relationship with world-class hospitals:

“The possibility of establishing agreements, educational programs, and telemedicine, will permit us to continue strengthening the Dominican medicine as a whole, which eventually improves our medical tourism offer.”

Health and Wellness Congress

The head of Medical Tourism in the Dominican Republic spoke to many local and foreign medical representatives.

At the meeting, he highlighted the participation of Dr. Kathy DeRuggiero as a key speaker at the upcoming 4th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

According to their website, congreso.adtusalud.org/en, the congress will be “a meeting point for major national health centers, worldwide medical tourism authorities, the diplomatic community, large buyers of international health and executives of the U.S. and Canadian hospitals.”

It welcomes high-level representatives of the financial, health, tourism, transportation, education, and investment sectors, states their portal.

The agenda includes industry-related activities, business meetings, and expert presentations.
