Dominican Air Force commander opens a Tactical Operations Center
The Commander of the Dominican Air Force, Pilot Major General Leonel Amílcar Muñoz Noboa, formalized the inauguration of the Major General Nelson Eladio Marmolejos Acosta Tactical Operations Center.
The center, which is located in the Special Forces Command “General de Brigada Paracaidista Freddy Franco Díaz”, fortifies the command and control for the conduction of military maneuvers in charge of the Special Forces Command, functioning as a remote monitoring center of the missions carried out by its members.
Along with the Commander General was Pilot General Moltimer De Jesús Eusebio, Deputy Commander General; paratrooper general Rafael Castellanos Dotel, director of the (Decefard); retired parachutist Major Generals Nelson Eladio Marmolejos Acosta and Ulises Cedano Santana; the parachutist lieutenant colonel Morlin Fabián Tolentino, commander of the Command and host of the event, as well as different members of the institution.
Technology
Lieutenant Colonel Fabián Tolentino thanked the institutional high command for having supported the execution of the operations center, highlighting the progress that this technology represents for the benefit of national security and the effectiveness of the missions carried out by the institution.
On his side, Major General Marmolejos considered “an honor” that the work bears his name.
“I feel immense satisfaction seeing the progress of my glorious institution, a joy and nostalgia knowing that I was part of its foundations. Thanks to each of those present for taking me into account, ”he said.
Meanwhile, Major General Muñoz indicated that this type of work guarantees “a promising future for the Air Force and, above all, the best performance of missions by our air soldiers.”
