Dominican chefs seek the mangú Guinness record at the Flavor Fusion Fest

Three internationally recognized Dominican chefs seek to enter the Guinness Book by breaking the record for the largest mangú in the world at the Flavor Fusion Fest.

“With this ‘high cuisine mangú’, we really want to elevate this Dominican dish, and for the world to know how delicious and spectacular the food of our beloved country is”, says culinary specialist María Marte.

Flavor Fusión Fest is the name of a project lead by Marte, who has two Michelin stars and a celebrity chef; Amilkar Gonell, General Manager, Executive Chef, and Culinary Consultant and Pamela Gonell, Executive Chef Consultant.

The kitchen specialists want to establish a new record by surpassing the largest mangú in the world in 2017 (largest mangú service), which was composed of more than 80% green bananas and had a weight of about 645 lbs.

So far, the exquisite dish will be made at the annual festival (Flavor Fusion Fest) scheduled for Saturday, October 2nd, 2021, at Citi Field, Queens, New York, United States, and is for foodies of all ages. ages.
