The Marina Cap Cana was selected again in the top ten of the best destinations in the world for sport fishing in Marlin Blue and White, by the prestigious organization The BillFish Report.
With reports of cumulative releases with totals of 1,049 Marlin Azules and 972 Marlin Blancos, giving an average of 5 Marlin released daily, they place it as the best fishing destination in the Atlantic and within the top 10 in the world in 2019, being recognized even for their outstanding numbers in releases of both species.
The recognition of billfishreport.com highlights the permanence and flourishing of the Marina Cap Cana as a fishing destination over the years, considering its fishery as one of the best, most reliable, and prolific to capture blue marlin, reiterating in turn, pride towards the Dominican Republic.
With more than 5,000 reports of Billfish sent in 2019 from around the world, even to be considered in the ranking, the selection criteria included the number of fish, the variety of species both billfishes and dorado or mahi-mahi, tuna, wahoo, Sailfish, and swordfish, the average size of the fish, the duration of the season and the number of fishing boats.
