AMResorts announces conversion of three Now facilities to Dreams Resorts

The hotel chain AMResorts, belonging to Apple Leisure Group, announced the conversion of three of its Now properties located in Cancún and Punta Cana to Dreams Resorts & Spa as a way to evolve and improve the experience of its guests.

The Now Jade Riviera Cancun starts operating from June 30th under the name Dreams Jade Resort & Spa.

For this brand transformation, the chain carried out renovations in its restaurants: the Italian Capers, the Mexican Tamarindo, the Asian Spice, the Carnival buffet, the Mix bar, the Barefoot Grill, and the Scores bar. It also added the Time Out bar and a big screen, showroom weddings, vertical gardens, wood oven, and mini-golf.

Another improvement was the renovation of the theater, as well as the wedding terrace, the lobby, the gym, the spa, the shopping area, the main garden, the Core Zone Teen’s Club, and the terrace facing the sea; as well as the change of all the swimming pools to heated ones.

Now Onyx Punta Cana is the first of the three to have this conversion, since as of June 15th it will be governed under the name Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa. Its 320 new Premium Jr Suites will offer 272 connecting rooms and 16 family suites with two bedrooms to accommodate large families. This family-friendly hotel will feature a Jungle Water Park with four waterslides, a lazy river, and a swim-up bar.

The improvements also include a ‘lounge’ with a bar at the ‘check-in’ of the Family Section; two new restaurants: the Mexican, Tamarindo and the Mediterranean restaurant, Cin Cin; a newly built Bluewater Grill with an outdoor terrace, a renovated and expanded Caper’s restaurant, and a renovated Spice restaurant with an additional teppanyaki table for up to 24 people.

In addition to a new outdoor terrace that offers more space for the international buffet restaurant Carnival and the new two-story Core Zone Teen’s Club with climbing wall, basketball and archery court, as well as pool tables, in addition to the new Explorer’s Club for children that includes a play area, a painting room, a ‘splash zone’ and a small stage.

The conversion of the Now Sapphire Riviera Cancún to Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa will arrive on October 22, and with the opening, there will be improvements in the rooms with heated Swim Out suites category with views of the beach and the sea; Family Suites to accommodate families and large groups, and there will be new categories of Master Suite rooms. All suites will be remodeled, as well as the reception, lobby, Sports Bar and Lemongrass (Asian cuisine), Paramour (French cuisine), and Coco Café restaurants.

Renovations include the spa and gym. The hotel will have a family water park equipped with slides for adults and children, a water park and a small children’s pool incorporated into the Explorer’s Club for Kids; a new Core Zone teen club, and a beachfront wedding venue for up to 120 people.

According to AMResorts, these properties have invested in all aspects in order to further elevate and enhance the overall guest experience, offering the standards of the exclusive Unlimited-Luxury concept for which the Dreams Resorts & Spas brand is known.
