The NBA Basketball School in the Dominican Republic announced the holding of a camp for children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18 in the Cibao area that will take place from January 26 to 29 of next year at the Gran Arena del Cibao.
Emanuel Alonso, director of NBA Basketball School, said that the program aims to expand in 2023, as part of the annual training development, which has the highest American basketball institution that will provide young athletes with on-court training, skill development, physical conditioning, values, habits and opportunities to improve and grow in this sport.
The director of NBA Basketball School said that the program has a cost of 18,000 pesos and in addition to receiving training development, it also includes a basketball training kit, snacks, hydration, a physical evaluation, among other factors.
Alonso was surprised to see that Santiago is a city where basketball is breathed and that is extremely important to implement this type of program that is aimed at both male and female youth, and the camp includes a tryout.
In addition, the NBA Basketball School representatives confirmed that some former basketball stars will come to the camp, although they did not confirm who as part of the expectations they have for the camp that will take place next January.

In addition, Alonzo confirmed that NBA Basketball School RD aims to permanently carry out this program in Santiago, to develop young people and they can learn basketball, but also have opportunities for growth and educational development.
This camp has already been held in the Dominican capital at the Carol Morgan School with more than three hundred young people and in the east of the country with almost one hundred young people, where the talent they have seen was impressive. He was together with Emmanuel Alonzo, Davianty Taveras in charge of physical preparation for the program.
