Felix Peguero promoted as general manager of Estrellas Orientales
Estrellas Orientales announced the promotion of their director of baseball operations, Felix Peguero, to the position of general manager and the club’s baseball operations.
Peguero will replace Manny Acta, who was removed by the club.
Las Estrellas reported on the appointment of Peguero, through a press release, in which they indicate that he takes over the reins of his baseball operations, with all the prerogatives of the position, after having been director of baseball operations of the green club in the local seasons 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.
His father, Pablo Peguero, was also once the general manager of the Stars.
“We have seen Félix grow up in the world of baseball, since the time when his father, Pablo Peguero, was the general manager”, said the Estrellas in their press release.
“We are pleased to give the first opportunity in such an important position in our team, to someone with such distant ties, such as since his adolescence, and who is a member of our family”, stated the Stars in their press release.
The youngest of the Pegueros has worked in the baseball operations departments of other teams in the country, such as the Gigantes del Cibao, Toros del Este, and Águilas Cibaeñas.
Currently, he works for the San Francisco Giants in the United States, serving as an international scout supervisor and assistant to the director of operations in the Dominican Republic.
