Escogido gears for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. debut

Escogido Baseball Club registered first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on his weekly roster on December 12th,
The Blue Jays slugger will debut against the Estrellas Orientales, in San Pedro de Macorís, a source confirmed.
Guerrero, 23, was chosen as the third pick in the Lidom draft in 2017, behind Fernando Tatis, for the Estrellas, and Jesús Sánchez, for the Toros, and made his debut that season.
He saw action in just 26 games with 19 hits in 90 at-bats (.211), with two doubles and two triples as extra-base hits and six RBIs.
He played again in the 2020-2021 campaign, the one played in 30 games due to Covid-19. In 12 games he went 15-for-48 (.312) with four doubles. Shooting his first home run in Lidom is among his pending tasks, Guerrero has joked on more than one occasion.
El Escogido began the day on Monday in the last position with a record of 15-30, three games from fifth position and five from fourth. If the scarlets do not qualify for the postseason, their name can be included in the list of available for the native draw.
Guerrero Jr., comes from completing his fourth season in the Major Leagues and already accumulates an offensive line of .284/.358/.504 with 104 home runs and 310 RBIs.
This year he rounded out a season in which he trailed relative to 2021 by winning the Gold Glove at first baseman.
