Dominicans promote Cabarete as the capital of waves at Surf Expo

Orlando, FL. – The Dominican Republic, through the Orlando, Florida Tourism Promotion Office (OPT), participated in Surf Expo 2023, promoting Cabarete as the capital of waves and winds in the Caribbean.
With its participation, the country seeks to attract the most significant number of tourists fond of water sports, professional competitors, and investors who come together at this fair.
Cabarete, located in the province of Puerto Plata, is the capital of the Caribbean for wave and wind sports, with a scenario of optimal conditions for surfing, kite surfing, and windsurfing, as well as a relaxed, healthy lifestyle and sporty.
Surf Expo is America’s leading water sports and beach lifestyle trade show.
Retail and professional exhibitors related to this industry participate in the fair. The Surf Expo 2023 edition takes place from January 4th to 6th, 2023, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The Ministry of Tourism represents the Dominican delegation with its project “Surf and Wind City Cabarete” and the World Surf League, Masters Surf Meeting, Master of the Ocean, and Caribbean Surf Connection competitions, all scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.
