Albert Pujols and Juan Soto join the Home Run Derby
According to reports, the Dominicans Albert Pujols and Juan Soto will be part of the Home Run Derby to be held in the Major League Baseball All-Star Game next Monday, April 18.
The future member of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame, hit his fifth home run of the season, the 684th in the majors and this Monday he was inches from the sixth, but failing that he was left with a double to leave behind on the list of all extra-base hits connected to Stan Musial reaching 1,378 for third place, behind only Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds.
Albert Pujols hits the 1,378th extra base hit of his career, moving into third place all-time.

Pujols (2003, 2007, 2009 and 2015) will be in his fifth participation in this event.
In the case of Juan Soto, he will be in his second appearance in this type of event, after hitting 46 homers in his debut at Coors Field in last year’s version.
Pujols and Soto will join Pete Alonso (NYM) and Ronald Acuña Jr. who are already officially confirmed among the participants in the activity.
