Raúl de Molina reacted to the criticism against him for refusing to greet La Materialista with a kiss. The presenter explained that it was not a racist action towards the Dominican and he accused her and her publicist of starting this campaign.
“I do that (not saying hello with a kiss) to 80% of the people I don’t know,” the Cuban presenter told communicator Enrique Santos.
“Be it Chinese, be it Cuban, be it American, I’m not going to kiss her if I don’t know anyone,” he added.
The presenter of “El gordo y la flaca” denied that he is racist towards Dominicans and indicated that this is one of the countries to which he travels the most so much that many people have told him that he is an ambassador of the Dominican Republic.
As for why he hugged Carlos Ponce, he explained that he knows that the actor had to undergo a covid test to be at Premios Juventud.
De Molina explained that he has a daily fight with his wife because whenever they go out to a restaurant he greets people with a kiss and he takes great care of covid, even though he has all four of his vaccines.
A video recently went viral where the interpreter of “Desacátate” is seen greeting the presenter, however, he placed his hand on her shoulder to prevent the Dominican from approaching him.
“I’m not kissing anyone because of covid, but I’m glad to meet you,” said the communicator. “I am afraid that I will get covid like President Biden,” he added.
Given this, La Materialista only limited herself to saying: “No, no, very well, very well. But that’s okay. My pleasure”
