Cirque du Soleil returns to Punta Cana with a new show
Cirque du Soleil’s sun has risen again and what better place to premiere its first performance of “Kooza” than the Downtown Center in Punta Cana, where it will set up its large tent for the first time to receive the public from January 7th, 2022 and every weekend until April 10th.
“Koozå” is a touring production of the Canadian company directed by David Shiner, released on April 19th, 2007.
The show revolves around the adventures of the Innocent and explores themes such as loneliness and the sacred.
It brings together two circus traditions: acrobatic performances and the art of clowns.
The show reveals the physical demands of each number, all its splendor and fragility, through a colorful mix in which the most buffoonish humor stands out.
“The wait is over, high-quality live shows are back, and when it comes to quality, Cirque is ahead”, said Saymon Díaz, president of SD Concerts, demonstrating the joy he feels to return to the entertainment arena after almost two years.
The industry it represents has persevered through the most difficult times, with dark stages around the world, Cirque du Soleil was the last show produced by SD Concerts before the pandemic and today, it will be the first of this company to rise again to continue. its mission to cultivate creativity, share the hope and joy that only live entertainment brings, said Díaz.
A total of 70 performances will be staged during the weekends from January to April at the following times: Friday 8:00 pm; Saturday 4:00 and 8:00 pm; and Sunday 11:30 am and 3:00 pm.
Ticket prices start at 2,400 pesos (around 42 dollars) with the discount applied.
