Air Century and Sky Cana begin operations between Miami and Punta Cana
The airlines’ Air Century and Sky Cana began their first connection on the Miami – Punta Cana route with 220 all-American passengers that arrived at the terminal.
A note from the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) indicates that the flights scheduled by the Florida Yes Travel tour operator are expected to arrive every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the remainder of the summer.
“As the main operator from South Florida to the Dominican Republic in the number of seats available, Yes Travel will bring 15 thousand visitors to the destination of Quisqueya this summer 2021”, highlighted Marie Díaz, director of Vacations Barceló and Liliana Suárez, Operations manager of Yes Travel.

She explained that the 220 passengers on this first flight headed to visit resorts such as the Bávaro Palace, Lopesán Costa Bávaro, Riu, Blue Diamond, Bahía Príncipe and Paradisus, in Punta Cana.
The three air operations from Miami sponsored by Yes Travel appear on Fridays and Saturdays with Sky Cana throughout the month of June, arriving at 11:00 am, while on Sundays with LATAM Airlines with 300 seats, adding another additional frequency to starting next July 18 with Sky Cana.

“We are extremely happy to be the first customers from the United States for the new Dominican airline Sky Cana / Air Century, we have a very strong bond with this wonderful country and that is why we are the main tour operators in terms of the number of seats available from the South of Florida”, said the Yes executive.
Suarez specified that the plan of the new project is to maintain weekly flights on the Miami-Punta Cana connection for the remainder of the year, and with more than 25 flights for the remainder of the summer.
“We have two weekly frequencies in the month of June, three in the month of July, and we have added another frequency for the month of August and other additional dates for the remainder of 2021, with the probability of opening a new Miami-Port connection” she stated prior to the arrival of the Sky Cana flight.
