Induban signs an agreement with Goya Foods for coffee distribution in the USA
Industrias Banilejas, Induban, and Goya Foods signed an agreement for the exclusive distribution of Café Santo Domingo brand products for the northeastern region of the United States.
“This agreement places Café Santo Domingo in a more than privileged position, being one of the first distinctly Dominican brands capable of reaching the large market in the United States through a leading distribution company in that country”, said Manuel Pozo Perelló, Executive President of Industrias Banilejas.
He also stressed that this effort is part of an aggressive expansion strategy in that market, which includes direct sales through the leader in the e-commerce channel, Amazon.
The agreement, signed by Joseph Pérez, Senior Vice-President of Goya Foods, and Pozo Perelló, brings Café Santo Domingo closer to millions of Americans living in the northeastern United States.
These brands, which now include our Country Brand, Café Santo Domingo, will reach thousands of points of sale such as independent supermarkets, regional supermarket chains, and national chains.
Pozo Perelló said that the market size of coffee in the United States, and the possibility of having an exceptional distribution chain, are unique opportunities for the company but also for our “Country Brand” project.
Present at the signing of the agreement were Eddie Pacheco, Sales Execution Manager for Goya Foods, and Nelson de Los Santos, Sales Manager for the International Market of Industrias Banilejas.
