US Air Force planes land at Haiti airport

Haitian citizens have reported several aircraft arrivals from the United States at the Toussaint Louverture airport in Port-au-Prince in the last 24 hours.

According to the people who published the images, the planes have arrived with aid materials and at least one would have arrived with fuel to deliver to the United States embassy in Haiti.

The first images of the planes emerged on October 23rd, when a cargo plane bearing the US Air Force sign was reported.

However, other images reported today show two cargo planes on the runways of Toussaint Louverture.

The planes land in the neighboring country when USAID announces the start of the program to strengthen civil society in Haiti. According to the statement, the United States, through USAID, points out that civil society organizations will have “a greater impact on improving living conditions and will become a national voice in defense of the interests of the population.” .

USAID previously announced on October 13 the deployment of a disaster response team to the humanitarian crisis in Haiti.

“As insecurity, gang violence and the humanitarian situation worsens in Haiti, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is deploying an elite Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) to respond to growing humanitarian needs,” the entity said in a statement issued on Friday.
