Preventive patrol officers arrests 45 suspected criminals in 24 hours
The National Police reported this Sunday that they had arrested 45 suspected criminals caught in flagrancy in different regions of the country in the past 24 hours.
According to a press release, of these 45, three were fugitives and another 32 were immediately sent to different prosecutors for having pending cases, which according to the institution demonstrates the effectiveness of preventive patrols.
Likewise, they arrested seven men for having an extensive criminal record according to the existing records in the archives.
The police report also indicates that 16,117 people were searched and purged, of which 1,715 were retained for the purposes of further investigation. In the operation, six people were also arrested in response to arrest warrants for accusations related to gender violence.
Vehicles, motorcycles and anti-noise
The police operation, supported by members of the Armed Forces, allowed the requisition of 6,419 vehicles of different makes and models, of which 48 were retained for various reasons.
Regarding motorcycles, a total of 9,474 of different brands and models were registered, of which 1,706 were retained because their drivers lacked the proper documentation that supports their legal origin.
The preventive actions made it possible to seize 23 horns, 29 kitipos, 6 drawers, a music plant and 26 slot machines. In addition, the acting agents visited a total of 482 businesses selling alcoholic beverages, whose administrators were warned about noise pollution.
