Safe and sound, the two miners who were trapped for ten days in the Cerro de Maimón mine were rescued.
President Luis Abinader went to the mine to supervise the rescue work, which he kept the entire Dominican people waiting for.
The Dominican Gregori Alexander Méndez and the Colombian Carlos Yepez Ospina were assisted by personnel from the Ministry of Public Health, who transferred them to the Ramón de Lara hospital to verify that they are in perfect health.
It is recalled that last Thursday the president paid a visit to the place and there he spoke by radio with the miners Gregory Alexander Méndez, a Dominican, and Carlos Yépez Ospina, a Colombian, to give them messages of faith and hope and asked them to remain calm.
