Head of Dominican Senate: whoever has issues with justice, must be brought up front

The president of the National Assembly, Eduardo Estrella, said that everyone who has justice pending must be brought before it.

In his speech before handing over the presidential sash to President Luis Abinader, he indicated that this will happen “without retaliation, and not allowing favoritism or any sort of protection, since the people expect the State to recover the funds it has taken from corruption”.

“President Luis Abinader, you have shown perseverance and love for your country, with a personal and professional sheet valued by all, with high social sensitivity, committed to ethics and transparency”, he stated on a Twitter message.

He warned the constitutional president that “his true friends will be those who with their proposals and their exemplary conduct will help him to execute a government that meets the needs of the Dominican people.”

He also pointed out that in the Dominican Republic every citizen must be protected.
