Haitian deputy’s wife arrested in a vehicle loaded with ammo

The wife of the Deputy delegate of the commune Belladère, Yvanosky Joachin, was arrested with a shipment of ammunition of various calibers, when she was heading to Haiti through the El Carrizal border in Elias Piña, Dominican Republic.

Milien Mildrene Manessa, is the wife of Yvanosky Joachim, whose documentation was in the vehicle.

Manessa was traveling with another lady and a girl of about two years in a white SUV Haitian FF plate 01302.

According to a fully credible source, the vehicle frequently enters from Comendador, in Elías Piña, to Haiti, presumably without being seized by the authorities.

This Tuesday, a soldier who has been in the post for three days decided to check the vehicle and found inside it a large amount of ammunition that he would take to Haiti.

The governor of Belladere, Yvanosky Joachin, and his relatives have been residing in the municipality of Comendador for months to protect the integrity of his family, as a result of the insecurity that prevails in Haiti.

On top of the detained vehicle, the official arrived at the Cesfront base in Comendador astonished, alleging that he did not know anything about what had happened.

He said that his wife went to look for one of his daughters at school in Comendador, so it is not explained what could have happened.

Yvanosky Joachin is known on the El Carrizal border by the Dominican, civil and military authorities, merchants and everyone who converges in that area, for his willingness and interest in resolving the conflicts that occur on the border.

Cesfront and the corresponding authorities have not yet revealed the amount of ammunition found in the vehicle.
