Fuerza del Pueblo presents legislative blocks as the second Senate force and third in Chamber of Deputies
Santo Domingo. – Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) presented the members of its legislative blocks, remaining as the second force in the Senate and third in the Chamber of Deputies, since it now has 8 senators, doubling the PLD that is left alone with Four.
The FP senators’ bloc is made up of the following: Dioni Sánchez, spokesperson; Franklin Rodríguez, vice spokesperson; David Sosa, secretary; and as members Bautista Rojas Gómez, Virgilio Cedano, José Antonio Castillo, Félix Ramón Bautista Rosario and Antonio Marte.
While eleven deputies make up the Lower House bloc. Rubén Darío Maldonado will be the spokesperson, Yuderka de la Rosa Guerrero, vice spokesperson; Ycelmary Brito (Juliana), secretary; and as members are Omar Leonel Fernández, Rafael Tobías Crespo, Carlos María García Gómez, Eduard Alexis Espiritusanto, Aquilino Serrata Uceta, Enriqueta Rojas Javier (Sweet), Heriberto Aracena Montilla and Charlene Canaán.
In addition, as the second majority in the Senate of the Republic, the People’s Force is responsible for appointing a member of the National Council of the Magistracy, which will be announced later.
The members of said blocks will carry out their respective functions in defense of the Dominican people and in accordance with the principles of the People’s Force.
The formation of these legislative blocks becomes a milestone in the history of the Dominican Republic since no political party had obtained such a large congressional representation with less than a year of being created.
It is highlighted that the legislative benches of the People’s Force present an interesting variety within its members, since it combines experience and youth, in order to strengthen the democracy and institutions that the Dominican Republic needs.
In addition to the aforementioned, there are as allied legislators of the People’s Force Elías Wessin Chávez, of the Quisqueyano Christian Democratic Party (PQDC); and Miguel Bogaert, from the Bloque Institucional Social Democrata (BIS).
New members of the FP who resigned from the PLD
Senators Dioni Sánchez and Felix Bautista for the Pedernales and San Juan provinces, respectively, resigned from the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) to join the People’s Force, identified with the principles of this young political organization.
Similarly, deputies Tobías Crespo, Aquilino Serrata, Enriqueta Rojas, Carlos García and Charlene Canaán, from the National District, Santo Domingo, Espaillat and Hermanas Mirabal, respectively, also left the ranks of the purple party to join the organization led by Leonel Fernandez.
The referred resignations of the PLD were made official yesterday Saturday. These legislators go on to integrate the benches of the People’s Force, to swell their congressional enrollment.
