The aircraft transporting the vaccines is expected to arrive on June 3rd.
A total of 4,455,827 Dominicans already received the COVID -19 vaccine. While 3,312,078 have been vaccinated with the first dose and 1,143,749 with both doses.
Factors such as the outbreak, the circulation of new variants, labor demands, and restrictive measures in the country, are the elements that are motivating the population to get vaccinated, said the managers and some people who attended the inoculation.
Authorities say that the only solution against the contagion of the virus is the vaccination of all people, which is why inoculation centers have been installed in sectors where the population does not show great interest in the vaccine.
