Dominican embassy in the USA promotes culture, tourism and businesses

Hundreds of people visited the headquarters of the Dominican Embassy in the United States within the framework of the cultural event “Tour of the Embassies of the World” held in Washington, D.C.
This is one of the most attractive activities on the city’s annual calendar, the tour of the embassies organized by Passport DC, which highlights the international dimension of this emblematic capital, as well as its lively and varied culture.
Adding to the festive spirit of the event, Ambassador Sonia Guzmán and the embassy staff put on an eye-catching display of Dominican color, sounds and flavors.
Visitors to the embassy enjoyed tastings of Santo Domingo coffee, Barceló rum, passion fruit liqueur and typical Dominican food prepared by the local restaurant Los Hermanos to the rhythm of merengue and bachata.
Likewise, they were able to enjoy carnival scenes through a live dance of the typical devils with costumes provided by the Dominican Ministry of Culture and an exhibition of photos placed outdoors.
Ambassador Sonia Guzmán thanked all those who were part of the event, pointing out that “participating for another year in this great party presents us with an excellent opportunity for the tourist, cultural and commercial promotion of the Dominican Republic, which continues to strengthen our ties with this city and all of the United States.
