Dominican deportations have not stop, will not stop
The General Directorate of Migration reported that immigration operations against undocumented foreigners in the country have intensified.
Through a press release, the head of that institution, Venancio Alcántara specified that 20,115 illegal alliens in tge Dominican Republic territory were deported in October.
He also said that in the month of November “17,000 were deported, other repatriates and 2,866 without registering because they left for their country.”
Likewise, he noted that foreign detainees are transferred to collection centers in the border provinces of Dajabón and Elías Piña, where they remain until they are finally returned to neighboring Haiti.
The official added that Migration began repairing these centers and the one in Haina, to improve the space used by migrants and that they receive “more humane treatment.”
According to the document, the actions of the General Directorate of Migration “have not stopped and will not stop, on the instructions of President Luis Abinader, and in compliance with the law.”
