COVID-19 positivity spikes up to 27 percent
The daily positivity of COVID-19 in the Dominican Republic spiked to 27.10%.
Of every 100 PCR samples processed, 27 were positive.
The data appears in bulletin 435, issued this Friday by the Ministry of Public Health, which quantifies the number of new cases, in the last 24 hours, in 1,254 infected and three deaths.
The daily positivity of the last four weeks has been above 10, at 14.33 percent, more specifically, according to the Ministry of Health.
The occupancy of hospital beds, a concern in recent days due to the resurgence of infections, remains at 46 percent, according to the report.
The intensive care beds in these hospitals are 67% occupied and the ventilators 54%.
The processed samples are 6,418, of which 5,337 were PCR and 1,181 antigen tests.
