Abinader prompts criminals to choose surrendering or confrontation

Dominican Republic president Luis Abinader, called on the criminals to turn themselves in or they will be drastically confronted by the National Police and the Government.
The president took up the words after several seconds of applause from the public present and stated that through the police reform the Government is preparing to accept and give opportunities to antisocials who want to be good people and help them.
“Those who have another decision to disturb peace and security will be confronted on any ground”, he stressed.
The ruler said that he will work with the serious people who are the vast majority of the Dominican people.
“We have to build a true social peace, not a mafia peace, where authorities and criminals agreed”, said Abinader.
The president said he knew that there is a lot of concern among the population, but that the main concern is from the government.
He indicated that although the statistics indicate that the criminal situation was worse before, it is too much for him now.
He promised to fight to face and reduce this scourge, with everyone’s collaboration.
He said that he is going to make the Dominican Republic one of the safest countries in the world.
Abinader led the act “Turn down the noise” contained in the First Congress of Community Standards announced by the Minister of the Interior and Police, Jesús -Chu- Vásquez, who proposes a ban on all kinds of noise starting at 10:00 p.m. night until 10:00 in the morning of each day in the National District.
