Viva Wyndham Resorts chain starts constructing a resort in Miches
Private investors began yesterday in Miches, El Seibo province, the construction work of the “Viva Wyndham Resorts” project, which will represent an investment of RD $ 3,500 million and generation of 500 direct and 1,500 indirect jobs.
“Because we believe in the country’s destinations and we trust the Government that directs it, we are here today starting the first of the two hotels to be built in this tourist complex, which will have 750 rooms and an estimated investment of 3,500 million pesos in his first stage”, said Ettore Colussi, president of Viva Wyndham Resorts.
It should be noted that Viva Wyndham Resorts is the first Dominican capital company to establish itself in the Miches area.
The new hotel, which is expected to be ready by 2023, will have 750 rooms that will serve to accommodate thousands of tourists who choose the Miches area as a destination, which is one of the places in the country with immense potential for tourism in the process of development.
Colussi highlighted that this hotel is the banner of a new period of expansion in tourism in the country and the region that first adds to the development of Miches and then participates in the tourist project of Pedernales.
He specified that they are making this investment because they believe in the present and future of the country as a successful tourist destination, and also because they are feeling the enthusiasm with which President Abinader assumes his role as leader, who has dedicated himself to putting tourism in motion as the engine that impulses the economic dynamism to the Dominican Republic.
Viva is a Dominican company that operates hotels in various destinations in the country, Mexico and the Bahamas, under the brand of the American Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the largest hotel franchise company in the world.
At the event, President Abinader assured that his government is a fervent standard-bearer of this collaboration, due to the great benefits that the union of public and private matters brings to the economic growth and development of the country.
“This will undoubtedly contribute to the transformation of the region thanks to the appearance of a new quality job offer for those who live here and for those who choose this magnificent community to develop their personal life projects”, said the Dominican president.
