Puerto Plata Bridal bets on wedding tourism

The fifth version of the Puerto Plata Bridal was successfully held from November 8th to 10th in the halls of the Emotions by Hodelpa Playa Dorada hotel and featured a large program of exhibitions, business rounds, experiential conferences and workshops oriented to strengthen wedding tourism in the destination.

This edition had the participation of the most renowned professionals in the national wedding industry, among them Mirta Sánchez, and Sergio Cárdenas, a renowned event organizer who has certified more than 3,000 professionals in events and weddings in Latin America and the United States.

Puerto Plata Bridal had an opening night in which representatives of the local public and private sectors participated, including Claritza Rochtte, provincial governor; Mileyka Brugal, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Production, and Birgitt Heinsen, president of the Tourism Cluster of this destination. Everyone appreciated the growth of this fair and highlighted its impact for a tourism market niche that has significant potential.

The day of the second day, in addition to the long-awaited presentation by Sergio Cárdenas, who highlighted the exceptional conditions and resources available to Puerto Plata to carry out all kinds of celebrations, included the presentations “Destination Weddings 2023”, by Mirta Sánchez, CEO of MS Events RD; and “Vision of the Planner in front of a Destination Wedding”, by Yaniris Pérez, CEO of Events Planners RD.

The work round also included presentations by Bismarck Morales and Junior Jorge, from La Vereda Wedding Planners; Braulio Segura, from BS Wedding Planner and from Event Planner, Richard Buret, who socialized the participants about their experiences and vision of work.

Visibly enthusiastic, Aneury Pilar, director and founder of the event, thanked all the companies linked to the project, and the audience for their support and collaboration. He invited them to continue giving value to the destination and to the initiatives that are being developed in an integrated manner for its repositioning. During the gala, various recognitions were made to figures such as Claritza Rochtte de Senior, María Isabel Cáceres de Silverio, Frank López, and Atlantic Blue Group.

«The successful completion of our event and the enthusiasm shown by our guests, exhibitors and participants in general, gives us the opportunity to continue strengthening ourselves as Expo Evento; I am grateful for the absolute integration of Sergio Cárdenas, “The dream weaver”, because in addition to sharing the pillars of his career with us, he provided us with three scholarships for deserving young people from the Professor Rommel Cruz Polytechnic, so that they attend Mexico to train with him and can then replicate their knowledge in our Bride of the Atlantic”.

Pilar also extended her thanks to the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic and Minister David Collado, to Residencial Vista del Atlántico by Atlantic Blue Group, to Eventos del Cibao; Emotions by Hodelpa, International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals, Blue JackTar, Association of Bridal Consultant, Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resorts, Casa Colonial Boutique Hotel, Senator Hotels, Provincial Government, Puerto Plata Senate Office, Colchones del Yaque, Monumental Transport, Association of Weddings and Events of the Dominican Republic (ABE RD), among other entities and companies that made the materialization of Puerto Plata Bridal 2022 possible.
