Dominican Diplomacy
The Dominican Republic government, led by President Danilo Medina, has an interesting approach to diplomacy.
The newly launched diplomacy focuses on three axes:
- Encourage exports
- Attract direct investment to the country
- Strengthen the country brand.
“From the Foreign Ministry, we are working to promote our bilateral relations with all countries and we are also expanding our presence with new embassies,” added Miguel Vargas Maldonado.
He announced that in September new diplomatic relations will be established with Asian and African countries.
