Dominican airlines register boom in their operations in 2019
The Dominican-based airlines Air Century, Sky High, and SAP record a boom in their operations in 2019, according to the information collected by Infotur based on the data provided by the Civil Aviation Board (JAC).
In that sense, it is worth highlighting the acquisition of new equipment to cover some air routes in the Caribbean region and the transportation of passengers, as well as the inclusion of new routes to and from the Dominican Republic.
Between January – November 2019, Air Century remained among the top ten operating airlines in the country with the highest number of passengers mobilized, registering until then a total of 59,858, compared to 29,168 transported between January.
November 2018, for an additional 30,690 passengers, that is to say a 105% increase, thus being the third airline with the highest percentage increase in these eleven months.
In the case of Sky High, it has mobilized until November 2019 a total of 37,365 passengers, representing 11,044 additional passengers compared to the 26,321 transported between January – November 2018.
Professional Air Services meanwhile, has transported in 2019 (Jan – Nov) to a total of 19,344 passengers, while in 2018 (Jan – Nov), 16,678 for an increase of 2,666 passengers.
