Copa Airlines resumes flights to Santo Domingo restricted by passenger category
Santo Domingo. – Las Américas International Airport (AILA – JFPG) resumed flights from the Copa Airlines from the Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, with some restrictions by category of passengers that can fly this route.
The Dominican Airports Siglo XXI (Aerodom, a Vinci Group company), clarifies that at this stage, by decision of the Panamanian authorities, only citizens or residents of Panama can travel on these flights.
On August 4th, the Panamanian Government authorized the establishment of a Controlled Operations Center for the interconnection of International Commercial Aviation, which will allow limited air operations for transit through the Tocumen Airport for the departure of passengers and the controlled entry of Panamanians or residents in Panama.
For these operations that the Panamanian Government has arranged, travelers must:
- Present a certificate of negative PCR for COVID-19 or antigens test carried out a maximum of 48 hours before the trip.
- Sign a sworn statement provided by the airline in which the traveler undertakes to comply with the control measures provided by the Ministry of Health of Panama, use of an application to monitor symptoms, provide the quarantine residence telephone number, among others.
- Comply with the immigration and health requirements in each destination.
- If you have a valid ticket, it is possible to change the date without penalty.
