Copa Airlines joins the medical travel industry in the Dominican Republic
Copa Airlines is the first major international airline that supports the medical travel industry in the Dominican Republic.
The Panama-based company is a sponsor of the 4th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress in Santo Domingo, this upcoming September at the Jaragua Hotel.
“Copa provides great value to the health and wellness tourism industry in the country. We are in an ideal location, and our eight international airports give us a lot of competitive advantage. We need to work hand to hand with airlines because they are in contact with the medical traveler in the pre and postoperative stage,” said Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso on a statement sent to DoHealthWell®.
The airline is among 30 other companies that have joined the main medical travel event in the Caribbean. However, it is the first one of the major international airlines that provides support to the sector, increasing its value and expansion.
