Health travel collaboration agreement
We spoke with William Malamud. For him, this agreement was possible because of the long-time economic relationship between the U.S. and the Caribbean island.
“Medical Travel is the next step in the evolution of the economic and commercial relations between the United States and the Dominican Republic. The infrastructure and the tourist experience of the country is a competitive advantage in the region to develop the niche.”
Mr. Malamud, a Thunderbird School of Global Management MBA program graduate, spoke highly about other features the island offers.
“If we add that to air connectivity and our historical relationship, there is a lot of potentials for the Dominican Republic to provide cost-effective services to thousands of U.S. citizens.
In this agreement, AMCHAMDR puts its membership available to ADTS and AF Comunicación, connecting its human and business capital to provide service opportunities and solutions to thousands of medical travelers.
The Dominican Health Tourism Association is a non-profit association dedicated to promoting the sustainable development of tourism and the competitiveness of the health sector through initiatives that make the Dominican Republic a destination for health and wellness.
Alongside, the public relations agency AF Comunicación Estratégica is in charge of organizing, coordinating, and executing the development and promotion of the 4th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress.
