Air Canada links Quebec with Punta Cana
Air Canada announced that as of December 4th it will increase the frequency of its flights to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, as well as Cancun, Mexico.
Stéphane Poirier, president, and CEO of the Jean-Lesage International Airport in Quebec (YQB), said that the itinerary will be Quebec-Punta Cana, with a frequency of two flights per week.
“We are delighted with the return of Air Canada’s international flights to Quebec City to such popular destinations as Punta Cana, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale, and it has not only made the decision to quickly restore the routes that were offered before the pandemic”, said Poirier.
He added that the airline has also chosen to invest in Quebec by adding frequencies and two new destinations to the program for the winter of 2021.
He explained that it is essential that people in the greater Quebec City area take their flights from YQB, to their destination.
Air Canada flights from Quebec will be operated by Air Canada Rouge and operated by Airbus A319 with a capacity for 136 passengers. Reservations can be made on aircanada.com or through the airline’s app.
